Holmesville Church of Christ in Holmesville, Ohio just broke 50 in attendance for the first time. They are launching what they call “Christ Closet" to better reach their community. They have ordered their invitation cards from the CRA office and now have the church plugged into the mission of outreach.
Central Church of Christ in Cynthiana, Kentucky made a beautiful wooden board painted with Mission 120. Everyone baptized in the next four years will sign their name to the board. It is located in the church foyer for folks to see as they come in and out of the facility. They had 319 in attendance a few weeks ago. They have had 16 baptisms since January. They wrote that they are now down to Mission 104!
Congregation of Christ in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Wrote in and stated they are on board with Mission 120. They had a leadership meeting a few weeks ago, and one of their goals is to have 150 conversions over the next five years. They stated that "this lines up perfectly with Mission 120” as 120 conversions by 2030 lines up with their goal. They just did their 5th immersion into Christ this past March. After announcing to the congregation about Mission 120 the response and feedback was great. They also stated they appreciate the partnership they have with the CRA. They love listening to the weekly "Thrive on Mission Podcast" as well as the monthly zoom call updates.
Woodbine Christian Church in Corbin, Kentucky is moving right along with Mission 120. They are not only baptizing folks into Christ, but the preacher just started an onsite Campus Ministry from their congregation at the University of the Cumberlands. Thanks to the inspiration they received from the monthly zoom meeting . The congregation is launching an outreach to the hurting at the local laundry mat
Lakemont Church of Christ in New Waterford, Ohio rolled out Mission 120 about two months ago. They have developed their own "First Steps Class material. They have been a blessing to Mission 120 and have allowed us to put their material on our link for any church wanting to start their own "Connect Class" can use their material. This church has experienced significant growth over the last few months.
Mt.Olive Church of Christ in New Vienna, Ohio will be rolling out their First Steps Class soon. We had a great meeting with their leadership a few months ago.
Park Christian Church in Dennison, Ohio was represented at the Ohio Leadership Forum that Jim was privileged to speak at in January. They are looking to baptize 120 over the next four years. They are well on their way of accomplishing that goal. Jim looks forward to leading in their fifth Sunday Rally coming up in August of this year.
Milwood Church of Christ in Milwood, Ohio is experiencing phenomenal growth. Dave Jones has been a huge inspiration and encouragement to the Mission 120 Project. He was also in attendance at the Ohio Leadership Forum that Person to Person Ministries sponsored in January. He went back to his leaders and they are all in on the 120 baptisms in the next four years.
