SUBJECT: QUESTIONABLE PRESIDENTIAL ACTIONS
In July I wrote you about our
“out of
control Federal Government”. Your
response did not address my concern. Instead
it informed me about the legislation that was going to solve our major
problems.
I have another major concern. I
certainly am not alone when I ask where the
President gets his authority to “appoint” countless Czars. These individuals, who have direct access to
the President, are replacing Cabinet members approved by the Senate as
required
by the Constitution. It seems that most of
these individuals are left-leaning radicals/communists (a la Van Jones
who is
now gone) or they embrace the same “progressive” (read
Socialist) views as the
President. Even though many complaints
have been voiced by concerned citizens and reputable journalists, the
President, who did not comment on Van Jones’ resignation, just
appointed an
“Industry CZAR”. This seems to
be
“in-your-face” partisan politics at its worst.
It’s as if the President has complete and unlimited power
to do whatever
he wants to increase his power regardless of what the United States
Constitution says. And what is even more
disconcerting is that our elected representatives say and do nothing
about it. Does this mean they support and
are
sympathetic with Mr. Obama’s philosophy?
Where does the President get his
authority to do this? How much power and
authority do Czars possess? Where does
the money come from to pay them and their staff? And
please don’t tell me that all presidents
since FDR have done the same thing. That
may be partly true, but certainly neither to the extent that Mr. Obama
is
practicing this nor with the same purpose
in mind.
It seems self-evident that Mr. Obama is
committed to “changing”
I
believe our major problem does not concern Czars, the economy,
socialized
medicine or foreign policy. It
is about FREEDOM. Having
lived over 80 years in
Very
Sincerely,
